6th EBR Conference Theme is Evidence-Based Research for All
Evidence-Based Research for all research interest holders, worldwide and across all disciplines.
6th EBR Conference Subthemes
- Challenges of research usage and EBR advocacy, communication, and implementation: Approaches for overcoming the barriers to effective research usage, for effective evidence-based research advocacy, EBR implementation strategies within and across scientific disciplines, and responsive methods of research communication.
- A shared evidence vocabulary across the research ecosystem (interactive panel with breakout-room discussions): Understanding how different scientific disciplines and interest holders define and apply terminology, understanding, and concepts related to evidence and what channels are used to communicate the evidence to the interest holders.
- Protecting EBR in the current world: How to deal with political threats, misinformation, disinformation, and mistrust in research usage and how to overcome the current limitations of digitalisation of the research process, to ensure a future where decisions about research are based on transparent and systematic use of evidence.
Other EBR-related Subthemes:
- Interest holders’ roles in Evidence-Based Research (EBR): Exploring contributions and responsibilities of key interest holders, including researchers, funders, end-users, publishers, policymakers, and ethics committees, in advancing EBR.
- Meta-research on EBR: Investigations into research practices, reproducibility, and transparency to inform the development and use of the EBR approach.
- Advancing the EBR approach: Innovative methodologies, frameworks, and tools for developing and refining the EBR approach.
- Solutions and success stories in EBR across all scientific disciplines: Case studies and innovative strategies, including alternatives to systematic reviews, that demonstrate successful implementation of EBR principles in practice, education, or policy.
- Local initiatives in EBR implementation: Examples of community, institutional, or regional efforts to integrate EBR practices into research ecosystems worldwide.
- Efficient production and updating of systematic reviews: Approaches for producing and maintaining high-quality systematic reviews, including the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML).
- EBR in different global regions and settings: EBR in diverse regional contexts, low- and middle-income settings, and underserved or non-hegemonic research environments.
